Sophie Kerr Day

Join us for a day in the writing life at Washington College.
 

You can sit in on literature and writing classes, meet Washington College faculty and current students, take a workshop in fiction, poetry, or nonfiction and journalism with the Creative Writing faculty, explore the unique O’Neill Literary House and printshop, and join an open-mic reading of work with current Washington College writers. There will also be programs available for parents and family to learn more about Washington College and our scholarships, internships, and programs dedicated to all kinds of writing, including the Sophie Kerr Prize, the largest undergraduate literary prize in the country—worth more that $65,000 last year.
